How do you grow your results-driven skills? - Part 2

Written by Alistair Gordon And Dominic Johnson 09 Sep 2021

Taking ownership of improving key organisational results will shift your position in the organisation. You’ll go from being seen as a marginal player to an active player and owner of key organizational metrics.

Questions you can ask yourself:

  • Which organizational KPIs do I have the ability to influence?

  • How aligned are my contributions with creating a positive impact? How could I improve this alignment?

  • How does the organisation currently track and report any uplifts in those metrics that I can reasonably attribute to my inputs? Do I have visibility of these measures? Do I measure and report my own performance against them? If not, why not?

  • Do I need to develop internal, forward-looking metrics to measure my contribution to key organization goals?
