After putting its leadership through a new development program, an employer’s collaboration andcommunication have skyrocketed, enabling it to pursue major strategic changes, says HR Daily about an HFL program with Central Queensland University (CQU).

In 2019, Central Queensland University’s new vice chancellor, Professor Nick Klomp asked its academic and professional leaders to rethink the strategic pillars directing its service delivery, with a challenge to “disrupt thestatus quo”.

Key to driving the change was a leadership and capability coaching program that all 80 of CQU’s directors, deans and senior executive managers were invited to participate in. The bespoke program, designed and run by HFL Leadership, sought to accelerate three capabilities: communicating effectively; leading the team; and leading change.
